Host and founder of the Cranberry Fair is the Northern Fibres Guild, a non-for profit organization in the Yukon. Its membership comprises a group of enthusiastic people, wanting to learn and move forward the knowledge of working with fibres.
The members’ interests are as diverse as fibre can be, including knitting, weaving, crocheting, embroidering, spinning, dyeing, felting, and much more.
The Guild’s mandate is to support its members in increasing their skills and to provide education to the public regarding the fiber arts.
The Northern Fibres Guild meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm. The Meeting room is located in the basement of the T.C. Richardson Building at B2-302 Steele Street in downtown Whitehorse.
A summer break is held during the months June, July, August, when no meetings take place.
